Drawing and Painting from Life Workshop

from $130.00

This four-part course is a great offering for students who are starting their drawing and painting journey from scratch or who would like to enhance their practice with a refresh of some fundamental drawing and painting techniques. We will start the first class with drawing from observation, then will move into individual painting projects where students can choose to work from a shared still life, or may bring in their own objects to reference. Together we will break up the many layers that build a rich painting into approachable steps, allowing you to build confidence and have fun with the process! Minimum 3 students; maximum 6 students.

Materials: Plenty of materials will be supplied, including one final project canvas for each student, student-grade acrylic paints, brushes, and palettes, and newsprint paper. Students are asked to bring a sketchbook. Students are welcome to bring their own materials if they have a particular canvas size or have their own selection of paints they’d like to use.

Dates:

Tuesdays in Early-Spring (3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7) @ 5:30 - 8p
