This four-part course is a great offering for students who are looking to get deep into the well of color theory and want to feel more comfortable painting with color.
Students will be introduced to the dynamics of the color wheel and learn about different friendly relationships they can build upon when creating their palettes at home. We will mix a color chart together using each students’ chosen color combinations. We will explore how context is key for colors and how there are no bad colors, only color combinations that fail to harmonize or celebrate each other. You’ll come away from this class with a passion for color, a firmer grasp on how to tackle this often intimidating element, and a handmade color chart that will help you understand how to make strong palettes. Minimum 3 students; maximum 8 students.
All materials will be supplied. Students may bring their own favorite acrylics or brushes.
