Gabrielle (Gabe) Wolfe (they/them) has always been fascinated by memory - the swirl of the mundane and the extraordinary, the blend of experienced and edited emotions, what goes observed and what dissolves into nonexistence. Wolfe finds that they connect to memory through space and environment. Their sketches and paintings render echoes of rooms lingered in, worlds encountered, words muttered. These works tend to be vibrant, textural, and richly layered, much like their inner landscape.

Wolfe is a queer and nonbinary artist working primarily in painting and printmaking mediums. They have been living in Portland, Oregon for over five years. Born in Pennsylvania and raised in South Carolina, Wolfe has lived in various cities across the States before settling in the lush corner of the Pacific Northwest.
